Who I Am

I’m Tawanda — the no-nonsense heart and soul behind The Real Sh*t Sis. Pardon my French, but you should know what you’re getting into before we get started. I’m a Christian woman who has survived love’s hangover and come out stronger, wiser, and ready to help others do the same.

My journey has been anything but ordinary. I’ve been a lover, a friend, the betrayed, the betrayer, a girlfriend, a wife — and everything in between. I’ve received seven proposals, survived the heartbreak of divorce, and now stand in a phenomenal marriage that feels like home.

When I say I’ve seen a lot, I mean it. And through it all, I’ve held onto my faith, trusting that every blessing and every heartbreak had its purpose.

My Why

I didn’t stumble into this work; I was called to it.

After walking through my own seasons of heartbreak, self-reflection, and rebuilding, I realized something: everyone deserves love, but love isn’t just for the lucky. It’s for those who are willing to get intentional, get honest, and put in the work.

Now, I’m walking in my calling. Helping people get real about who they are, what they want, and how to do the work that leads to love and fulfillment.
